A Nemzeti Innovációs Hivatal gazella-programján nyertes ACME Labs tagjai, mint alább olvasható angol nyelvű közleményükben írják, a stratégiai, menedzsment és irányítási elképzelések eltérése miatt Karády György / Gyuri Karady és Glenn Thomas is felmondott, illetve az igazgatótanácsi pozíciójukról is lemondtak.
Döntésüket azzal indokolták, hogy megingott a bizalom a szereplők részéről. Vállalkozóként és befektetőként azonban a továbbra is szeretnének részt venni a budapesti startup ökoszisztéma fejlesztésében.
Due to serious professional differences with regard to the strategy, management, and direction of ACME Labs Zrt, Gyuri Karady and Glenn Thomas are resigning. As of May 12, 2014, neither remain a member of the three member Board of Directors, which is responsible for the company’s management, and are stopping their day to day involvement with the company.
As entrepreneurs and investors, we’re not comfortable with a company in which the events of the last four months has lead to such a deep loss of trust between shareholder groups.
We recognize the enormous talent and passion in the Hungarian startup ecosystem. We’re saddened that the opportunity to support that talent and bring it to the wider world has been so severely compromised.
We look forward to supporting startups and the startup ecosystem in Hungary in the future outside of ACME Labs. Our individual and collective interest in the people and ideas that make up the vibrant entrepreneurial culture in Hungary remains undimmed.
