How We’re Innovating At Pioneers’18? (Extract from a newsletter.)
With just 10+ days to go until the next edition of our flagship event on May 24th-25th, we’re getting excited about a few of the novelties you’ll find at the Hofburg in Vienna. While all that is great about the event remains, 2018 visitors can look forward to a fresh look for our main Arena Stage in the gigantic ballroom. Expect a completely different layout and more of an ‘arena’ feel this year! Meanwhile our popular startup pitching sessions, which were bursting to capacity last year, are moving downstairs to a more spacious area.
As previously announced, there’ll be a specialist program of workshops and sessions dedicated to Series A startups, while for the first time it will be possible to relive or access selected content via Red Bull TV Live. We’re also giving an entire room over to an immersive Virtual Reality experience, with the help of German startup HolodeckVR. Finally, Pepper the friendly robot will be back – but this time playing a key role…

Behind The Scenes at the Hofburg: As we build up to Pioneers’18, we take a look at just how much effort, equipment and planning goes into making our flagship event what it is. We get the lowdown on what it takes to build up our new Arena Stage, learn tricks of the trade from our Master of Ceremonies Chris Wells, and a whole lot more here.

They’ll be pitching in four tracks: Citizen Collaboration, Blockchain, Public Safety & Security and a track for a general variety of technologies. Get a sneak peek of them below!
